Community groups in Halesowen and Cradley offered slice of council cash
5:00pm Sunday 5th February 2012
Voluntary and community groups in Halesowen and Cradley are being encouraged to apply for funding Dudley Council is using to support local projects.
Halesowen Area Commitee, which has £50,000 a year to give community groups every year, is reminding groups in their areas they can apply for money to support the work they are doing.
Councillor David Blood, cabinet member for finance, said: “The area committee funding can provide valuable money to community groups and organisations. Many of the committees have money for this financial year still available and will receive the £50,000 allocation for next year to support good causes in the local community.”
The applications must be made for capital projects as opposed to ongoing running costs.
To apply for funding, groups should contact 01384 815236.
