STOURBRIDGE Ladies RFC secured promotion in fine style as they hammered Bridgnorth 43-7 at Stourton Park.

The home side made a fine start as Jess Everhurst grabbed the first of two tries in the opening seconds.

Lucy Evans then evaded the defence and extend the lead. Vicky Merrick’s conversion made it 12-0.

Stourbridge were dominating and Evans grabbed another converted try to make it 19-0.

A great move involving Evans and Steph Beddal allowed Everhurst to grab her second try just before the break.

Hayley Slimm was the next to go over, making the score 31-0.

The visitors kept going and pulled a try back. But it was all in vain as Wendy Jackson and Slim added further tries as the hosts cruised to victory.
