4:40pm Friday 19th March 2010
KINGSWINFORD'S Michael Rutter is gearing up for the start of the British Superbikes Championship after three days of testing at the Guadix track in Spain.
Rutter will be competing on a Ridersmotorcycles.com Ducati this season and posted some impressive lap times as he gears up for an Easter weekend start to the Championship at Brands Hatch.
Rutter ended the three days of testing with a lap of 1min 14.6secs - just over a second off the pace set by the Honda riders.
But he is still getting the settings finalised for his bike ahead of the four days of competition at Brands Hatch.
He said: “We had to concentrate on the traction control.
“But it really feels like we have got somewhere with the work we have been doing.”
